Former series (1974-1994) Diplomatic plates were red and white with serials between CD 1001 and CD 9999, the numbers originally being issued in blocks to Embassies, (22 – Bulgaria) but randomly from 1989.
Former series (1994-2010) CD in green, followed by one letter and three numerals in red, or, since 2008, three numerals and one letter. These plates were not coded by embassies.
