Most diplomatic and consular  vehicles are registered by the authorities in Ontario. However there are also CD and CC plates issued in British Columbia, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Québec.


1959-1973 series white on red, diplomatic plates used a CD prefix, and Consular Corps plates used a CC prefix.
Serial letter added in 1973.


1985-2007 series Consular Corps personnel had a CONSUL prefix, but without the flag in the centre, which exceptionally was placed in the lower left corner.


1946-72 Consular Corps plates used a CC prefix with normal passenger colours (blue on white) until  1972 when white on red was adopted.
